Dear First Christian Church family and friends,
Donna and I want to thank you for all of the love and support this past 14 months as we served together in ministry at First Christian Church. We particularly want to thank you for being caring and supportive as both of us have gone through our health issues the last couple of months. Both of us are recuperating and feeling much better than
we have in quite some time.
We particularly want to thank you for the wonderful Fellowship Dinner that was held our last Sunday with you and most of all for the tremendous love offering that was collected for us. We for sure felt the love and support from all of you. We plan to use
some of that money for a trip to Albuquerque before we move out of the area.
Please know that we will keep each of you and the church in our thoughts and prayers as you begin this next season in the life
of the church under the leadership of your new Senior Minister. We look forward with great anticipation of hearing about all the great things that we know are going to take place at FCC.
J. & Donna Alexander
FCC NAMETAGS are back with a new look, just in time for Rev. Brett Coe and his family’s arrival. This will assist our new minister and his family as well as any guests with learning who we are. Look for your nametag in the narthex this Sunday, February 9th. There will be individuals present to help you find your tag. After the worship service return your nametag to its storage case in the narthex for safekeeping. Look for NAMETAG helpers. They will be looking for you. Plan to do this each and every Sunday. The nametags will be available at fellowship events from now on, as well.
P.S. We have made every effort to make sure all regular attenders have a nametag with their name spelled correctly. If we have made an error, then we will correct that error ASAP. Just let someone know. Thank you for your grace.
Adult Sunday School Classes
All adult classes at First Christian are open to visitors and new members. Classes begin at 9:00 a.m.
We invite you and encourage you to visit several classes and then choose that one that you find interesting, affirming and challenging!
The Mariners Class
This class meets in the east classroom behind the stage area in Snodgrass Hall. This class is taught by Joel Olson.
This class meets across from the Kids for Christ area, and is taught by Don McColl. The class uses the Uniform Series. As the name states they celebrate friendship with everyone. Some of the ways they do this is with a prayer chain in the class, monthly birthday celebrations and special celebrations.
Located behind Snodgrass Hall, members rotate teachers each Sunday, using Old and New Testament curriculum from David C. Cook. The Fellowship Class supports various chosen charity projects yearly. Currently the rotation of teachers include Harvest Riedt, Doniece Ray, Phil Woodall and Beverly Whittler.
Located behind Snodgrass Hall, this discussion oriented Bible study class is taught by Ralph Maxfield. This class meets in a room north of Snodgrass Hall. Our class uses the “Present Word” curriculum which is a topical study and scripturally based. We have outreach concerns and responses and class functions away from church during the year. About 30 members with 20 or so being there consistently. We work hard on loving each other.
